Yes, yes, an entire dress made out of flowers! Emily had this idea for years. We discussed places to do the shoot. The day before the shoot, location fell through, so we did it at her house. Our plan was to assemble and shoot inside and then GO outside. Yah right. That dress weighed a lot. The skirt itself before it was complete weighed about as much as a 30lb bag of dog food. The model, miss dear Rosie Reighley of Freeport, could NOT move! We had to drag her like dead weight to the front of the door.
Getting her down and outside into the fern and mossy spot we picked out to shoot in at sunset, was out of the question, unless we had tractor and or a helicopter.
It was an amazing work of art. One that could not be completely imagined until it was all done, and even then one looked at discovering new things about it.
