Maine Afternoon Pictures and Play

The Bowen boys featured here used to go to, and the youngest may still to the preschool my daughter went too. So I brought Lucia along to be my assistant, to help earn her kitty cat she wants.

Anyway. The different personalities going on between the 2 boys, was fun to witness.

I asked Danielle to be in a few pictures. I always think a parent should be in a few pictures. The kids will really appreciate it years from now. 

The last few shots we started to get down and dirty at Winslow Park. And Lucia found clams, dug up a dozen and we brought them home and ate them. I think digging up a dozen is legal. We have not found clams there again, makes this shoot extra special.

Bridal Shoe Candid Portraits

Little pieces of works of art on Meredith's feet, that day of her wedding. The sleekness of the wedge taken to a new level. Shiny metallic of varying textures that had to have their own portrait. And like the kind of portrait I prefer, I like it to be in action and beyond a pose by the window.

Icelandic Inspired Hair

These pictures are of my friend and hairdresser Kate doing a workshop at Headgames Salon for staff. 

Kate takes yearly trips around the globe and finds hair inspiration. I love the bjork viking inspired hair.

I am thinking I need to take a trip to Iceland for a photo shoot myself. Bring along Kate and my model Rosie and my daughter. I ate the chocolate covered licorice she brought. Missed the smoke fish.

and am ok with that.

This Fridays Art Walk!

I am showing some of my portrait and landscape work this Friday an the month of August with my friend Natalie Jae Eun Pilsbury at 94 Commercial St in Portland, 2nd floor. Please come this Friday if you are in town from 5-8pm. There are 2 entrances, one is on Custom House Wharf, one your way to buy lobster or drink at the Port Hole. The other is right on Commercial St next Fat Andy's and Gilbert's Chowder house. Best to park in the garage at Franklin and Commercial, where you would catch the Ferry.

Winslow Park Portrait Shoot

The Soucie family from Virginia vacationing in Maine this July. We dodged rain and thunder and got some great shots while the kids had fun. Their mom got super hero t's to get a shot in. I want the wonder woman t-shirt. Wonder woman used to be my favorite when I was 8. I think she had an invisible jet and got the bad guys. The best!
